Artist's Description

Statue of Liberty - New York.

The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The statue, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, a French sculptor and dedicated on October 28, 1886, was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States: a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad.

About Becca Buecher

Becca Buecher

Hello! My name is Becca. I really enjoy designing graphics using Photoshop and Blender 3D and a few other programs that help me achieve my end project. I also do photography, I love playing with the contrasts and dynamics that mother nature has to offer. I also took up painting this year (2021) and I am having a blast! :) I came to Fine Art America in hopes to get my art out there and gain a wider audience. It's something I hold near and dear to my heart and I want to share it with as many people as I can :) Follow me on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/its_a_macro_thing/ Follow me on twitter - https://twitter.com/BeccaB323 My portrait website - http://www.skyisthelimitimages.net
