Taken in Denver, Colorado.
This was the very last leaf on this tree - the wind was slightly blowing and it caught my eye right away. I was bent over front ways-almost toppling over to get this shot perfect and just the way I wanted. The ground was too cold and wet to lay down to try and get this picture. It has to be one of my most favored images I have ever taken. I love how the orange just pops and the crispness of the brown on the tree.
I gave this picture this title "Saving the last moment" because this branch really seemed to not want to let go of this last leaf - even with the wind blowing just a little.. this leaf held on tight.
We walked by this same spot again about an hour later and it was still there.
